BAMS Admission Process

Entrance Examination

Students aspiring to pursue Ayurvedic courses in Bangalore or elsewhere in India must qualify the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Undergraduates (NEET-UG) as a mandatory requirement for BAMS admission. In addition, candidates must have completed their 10+2/ 2nd PUC or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology, and English as compulsory subjects, securing the minimum qualifying aggregate marks prescribed for their respective category, generally ranging between 40% and 50%.

Counselling Process

Candidates who qualify NEET-UG must subsequently participate in the BAMS counselling process, through which seats are allocated at both the All India and state levels. The All India counselling process is conducted by the AYUSH Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC) for admission to Ayurvedic colleges across the country. State-level counselling, on the other hand, is administered by the respective state counselling authorities for admissions within their jurisdiction. For admission to BAMS colleges in Karnataka, the state counselling process is conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA).

After securing a seat, candidates will have to report at the allotted college and submit the documents listed below to complete the BAMS admission process.
